Should I do my own wedding make-up ?

Get it done professionally, enjoy the pampering and have a great look.

Having hung around with make-up artists on lots of photoshoots I’m amazed at the materials they use and the tricks they have up their sleeves.

Everything from (hugely expensive) make-ups that glow but don’t shine (you don’t want to look sweaty in your photos) to tricks for slimming faces, plumping lips, widening eyes etc.

I’ve only ever shot a wedding where the bride wore no make-up and it stands out like a sore thumb.

I would recommend trying to find a make up artist who has worked for photographers, their technique is very different and more sophisticated I believe than your regular beautician.

I can recommend some local make-up artists for you if you need help.
