A complete wedding day!

We always enjoy putting together these little movies made from the photographic stills we have shot during the day – it’s like it’s own special short film!! We also do a more formal and sedate DVD program from the best shots of the day.

Lee and Claire’s Vintage, Pyschobilly Wedding

I love it when a couple come up with something different for their wedding day. Claire has been a long time vintage fashion icon – every time I see her she looks absolutely immaculate. And Lee is completely into his own style.

Right from the first time I saw them I knew I had to shoot their wedding and I’m so pleased I did.

Weddings are supposed to be joyous, happy occasions and this was certainly that. But I also liked that they had built their wedding to be right for them, and although it included the traditional elements it also had all of them in to.

Claire is well used to posing as she regularly models vintage clothes.

Of course as a bloke I can’t help but appreciate the car.

Yep, Morris Men – Lee is an active member of the Morris troupe.

Not all wedding photo’s need to be serious you know !!

The wedding service was held at Manor by the Lake, very convenient for me as my studio is next door at Film Photo Studios Cheltenham. Manor by the Lake always offers some terrific settings both inside and out.

Hand made and wonderfully created wedding cake, this is just the topping, different styles work their way down through the tiers of the cake.

And of course Claire has to have a change of clothes for the evening reception held at the Lower Lode Inn, near Tewkesbury. This shot was from our Portable Fun Studio which bring as part of the evening entertainment.

All in all an absolutely wonderful day.

The Matara

Recently we photographed Brad and Holly’s wedding at the Matara, we though it was nice change to many of the hotel venues chosen for weddings.

The Matara Centre was created by Geoffrey Higgins after the death of his wife June, inspired by a vision they shared in the months before her death. It began as a meditative centre for well-being, and has evolved into a centre for the celebration of life and life’s events.

Brad & Holly’s Wedding

On Saturday 6th we had the pleasure of photographing Brad and Holly’s wedding.

It was a classic British wedding which was hosted by the Matara.

It was terrific fun for everyone involved and needless to say we had a great time taking part.

Battle of the Brides Final Round

On Saturday 23rd October we at www.FilmPhoto.co.uk were proud to participate in the final round of Battle of the Brides.

Three couple fought it out to win their dream wedding the challenges included cake making, flower arranging and a spot-the-differences photo challenge.

In the final round two brides had to search a bouncy castle for the coveted golden ball before racing to the end of the course to claim the prize.

There was a lot of laughter, excitement and even tears at the end. The wedding will take place on the 27th November at Manor by the Lake, congratulations to the winners Nicky and Dan and we look forward to seeing them soon.

Mindy and Paul’s Wedding at Mere Hall, Bolton

Lancashire/Jewish/1920′s Fusion Weding – or something like that anyway….

Paul is wearing Alexander McQueen, Mindy is wearing Vivien Westwood with modifications. Paul makes stunning jewelry and made the wedding rings himself, while Mindy is an artist whose flair is shown throughout.

This was just such a terrific day, I always get a kick out of weddings, but this was absolutely brilliant. Two people very, very much in love.

Lisa and Neil’s Wedding Day in Five Minutes

Lisa and Neil’s fun wedding – snow on the ground and a snow machine for the sky!!

This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve attended this year – and I wish Lisa and Neil a long, full, happy and loveful life together.

The wedding took place at Rodborough Stroud and then the reception was at the Regency Hotel in Cheltenham.

Trash the Dress with Jemma and Guy

Jemma and Guy

So here we are a genuine bride, a genuine dress and a genuine lake!!

I shot Jemma and Guys wedding last year and we had intended to get together shortly afterwards to do a follow-up post wedding shoot – particularly of Jemma feeding the pigs (they’re a kind of village pet).

But Jemma was in quite a nasty car crash and things got put on hold. So we got together again, just after their first anniversary to create these lovely and fun shots.

Cherish the Dress with Lou

You may have already seen the shots of us setting fire to the wedding dress, but we also took some really nice shots of it too.

We hiked our way up to the top of Leckhampton Hill and took some stunning images of the dress blowing in the wind with Cheltenham and the Severn laid out below.

We were blessed with some terrifically moody skies this day. Photoshop barely required to bring them out to their full drama. And of course on top of the hill you are guaranteed a good wind any day of the week!!
